Well, it’s been awhile…

Our last posting was in March…WOW!  We have been busy since then, but to tell the truth I am just a slacker when it comes to writing this blog!  Let’s see if I can give you all a brief summary of our NYC (and beyond) adventures over the past four months…

1) March 23 – April 13: HONEYMOON TRIP!!!!  We had a fantastic time on our three week journey through Portugal, Spain and France!  If you want to see our photo album shoot me an email and I will send the link!

Belem Tower, Lisbon, Portugal

Eiffel Tower, Paris, France

2) April 23 – 29: Geoff’s Speaking Engagement at the IQPC e-Discovery Conference in San Francisco, CA…I got to go along for the ride!  We stayed with Lizzie the weekend before the conference and then went into the city for four days.  I ate at fantastic restaurants and went to fun museums around town while Geoff imparted his knowledge of e-Discovery on willing listeners (he’s very smart you know!) 🙂

3) May 1: New York Junior League Home Tour – Amazing!  What a fun filled day of home touring in beautiful NYC.  They do it again in the fall, so mark your calendars!

4) May 14 – 16: Ashley & Duane’s Wedding in Baton Rouge!  What a wonderful time we had coming home for our friends wedding!  Of course, Ashley looked stunning in her wedding gown and high heels and Duane was dashing in his dark suit – the ceremony took place at beautiful Mount Hope Plantation.  I was so honored to be apart of the wedding.

5) May 30: Visit to the Cloisters in North Manhattan…what fantastic views!  And the gardens at the museum and also in Fort Tryon Park were GORGEOUS!  Definitely worth the trek up there  🙂

6) May 31: Memorial Day Pool Party in New Rochelle, NY!  Geoff and I went and celebrated the holiday with his boss and family at their lovely home north of NYC.  It was great to get out of the city and swim in a pool!

7) June 6: Crawfish Fest in Augusta, New Jersey.  Geoff’s favorite event of the year!  Good music from home is the main attraction and (usually) nice weather…this year, though, we were rained on!  No worries!  Once the winds died down and the rain subsided we were back out jammin’ to Marcia Ball and Railroad Earth!  Good times!

8) June 12: Brooklyn Botanical Gardens Bee Day!  We went for the 100th Birthday Party – what a pleasant surprise!  Tons of gorgeous flowers and trees…also great love music and a small market area selling products made with or inspired by honey!  They even have a rose named after me!!!

The "Camille" Rose

9) June 18 – 20: The girls came to visit for Lear’s play: On the Levee…wonderful play and fun seeing the girls!

10) July 3 – 5: Happy Fourth of July!  We spent our fourth celebrating on Long Island with friends!  Wonderfully relaxing!

Fourth of July Picnic

11) July 7 – 11: Mother and Nanny came to visit!  We had such a nice time…we went to see Billy Elliott, went on the Circle Line cruise around Manhattan, ate at Erminia (one of our favorites!) and just hung out!  They didn’t even mind roughing it in our 450 square foot apartment!  Real troopers!

12) I GOT A JOB!!!  Somewhere in the midst of the above craziness, I was hired as Marketing Director at Les Trois Petits Cochons – a gourmet pâté and charcuterie company!  I am super thrilled about this and it has been going swimmingly!  Check us out at www.3pigs.com  🙂

Wedding Whirlwind!

Well I just got back from the loveliest of times with friends and family in NOLA and BR!

I kicked my visit off with my dear friend Jan – we went for pedicures at the Ritz…absolutely divine and so fun catching up!  Thanks for being a great hostess Jan!!!

Miss Hayden Grace Duke

The next stop on my tour was at newly minted Mama Meredith’s where I got to see and hold Miss Hayden Grace Duke for the first time!  What a doll!  She just couldn’t be any prettier…she must take after her mama!

Next up was the then Miss Antonia Keller’s wedding…now Mrs. Ian McNulty!  What a wonderful display of love and commitment seeing these two tie the knot!  They are my “model couple” – always on the go doing something great together and loving each step along the way!  Everything was lovely and I just loved the belly dancers and the groom’s cake!  CONGRATULATIONS you two!

The next week was spent hanging out with the Fam and my cutie pie puppy Honey!  We enjoyed the fabulous (and unusual) weather by visiting the dog park and LSU lakes!  I was also able to hang out with my new (and fabulous) in-laws!  It was great seeing you Mr. Fred & Mrs. Winnie (and Mr. Duncan!).  Thursday was a Fiesta for Caroline – lots of fun and loved the Philaritas!!!  Friday was Carlos’ 50th Birthday Celebration!  Although Mother and I couldn’t stay for dinner we were glad to have a couple of celebratory drinks with him at Galatoire’s….ahhhh, the memories!

P.C., Los, and Camille

And last, but certainly not least, was Caroline and Eric’s wedding…a true Father of the Bride experience!  It was at her parents house and everything was perfect!  A beautiful bride and a handsome groom said “I do” in front of family and friends!  My favorite part was when Mr. Phil was on stage and sang “Who let the Dogs out?”…fantastic!

The only bad part about the entire trip was that my sweet and adorable hubby was not there to enjoy it with me!  I missed him very much and am very glad to be back home with him!

Keep on the look-out for our next postings because they will be from our Honeymoon trip!  Europe here we come!

WHO DAT!!! Saints Parade featuring our Super Bowl Champions!!!

What an amazing weekend!!!!  The Saints WON the Superbowl and in typical New Orleans fashion we had a parade to welcome our heroes home!!!  Of course I left my camera in NYC and the iphone takes awful pictures, but I thought I would share them anyway.  The only bad part is that Geoff could not come home with me and so he wasn’t there to celebrate with me  🙁

surprise, surprise...it was really cold!
